Zamalek SC have won the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League title after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra FC in their final match of the season played in Cairo.
The win took Zamalek to 56 points, sealing their 15th league title in history after a tightly contested title race that went down to the final minutes of the season.
In the final standings, Pyramids FC finished second with 54 points after winning their last match, while Al Ahly ended in third place despite a 2-0 victory over Al Masry.
The results mean that Zamalek and Pyramids FC will represent Egypt in the CAF Champions League next season, while Al Ahly will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
This marks the first time since 2003 that Al Ahly have failed to qualify for the CAF Champions League, sparking widespread debate due to the club’s historic dominance in African football, where they have won the title 12 times.
This season’s Egyptian Premier League was highly competitive among the three clubs until the final round, with Zamalek ultimately making the most of their opportunity to clinch the championship ahead of their major rivals.
