While their rivals Simba returned to Dar es Salaam yesterday after winning the Muungano Cup, Yanga SC have remained in Zanzibar continuing preparations for their Premier League clash against Simba for the second time in five days.
The two teams will meet again on Sunday, May 3, in a league match whose result could play a decisive role in this season’s title race.
Yanga, under coach Pedro Goncalves, are determined to avenge their recent defeat to Simba and end their opponents’ seven-match unbeaten run.
Yanga team manager Walter Harrison said preparations are ongoing ahead of the match, adding that all players are in good condition with no new injury concerns following the Muungano Cup final.
