The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has officially announced the start of a process to collect feedback for improvements to the 2026 edition of league regulations, a move aimed at enhancing the management of football competitions in the country.
According to the statement, the feedback and proposals will cover the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, the Championship League, and the First League. The process is intended to ensure the regulations are improved and aligned with the current competitive environment in Tanzanian football.
TPLB emphasized that the main goal of this exercise is to refine the rules so they can effectively address existing challenges and those that may arise in the 2025/2026 season. The initiative also aims to increase transparency, efficiency, and fair competition across all leagues under the board.
The consultation process officially opened on April 22, 2026, and will run for a period of four weeks. The board has urged all football stakeholders, including clubs, officials, referees, players, and other stakeholders, to actively participate by submitting their suggestions.
TPLB also reminded stakeholders that strong regulations are a key foundation for a stable and progressive football league system in Tanzania. Participation from all parties is seen as essential to ensure the improvements reflect the real needs of the game.
Feedback on the proposed regulatory changes must be submitted to TPLB before May 22, 2026 through official channels to be announced by the board.
