The excitement of the NBC Premier League continued today with three matches played at different venues as top teams displayed their dominance.
Earlier in the day, KMC FC remained in serious trouble after suffering a 3-2 defeat against Fountain Gate FC in a match played at KMC Complex.
The defeat leaves KMC in deeper danger of relegation as they remain near the bottom of the league standings. Despite showing competitiveness during parts of the match, Fountain Gate were more clinical in taking their chances.
In another fixture, Pamba Jiji FC were held to a goalless draw by Dodoma Jiji FC in a tightly contested match that lacked quality finishing in front of goal.
Meanwhile, Simba SC sent a strong statement after thrashing Tanzania Prisons 4-0 in a match played at KMC Complex.
From the opening minutes, Simba showed their determination to secure a commanding victory as they dominated the match throughout. The first half ended with the Msimbazi Reds leading 3-0 thanks to goals from Morice Abraham, Clatous Chama, and Suleiman Mwalimu.
In the second half, Simba continued attacking at high intensity, with Ismail Toure scoring the fourth goal to complete the rout.
The victory could easily have been by a larger margin had Simba been more clinical with the many chances they created in front of the Prisons goal.
With the win, Simba moved to 49 points and strengthened their hold on second place in the league standings, while the gap between them and league leaders Yanga remains five points.
