Simba SC Target New Striker as Junior Dion Emerges as Key Transfer Option

Simba SC have begun early preparations to rebuild their squad for next season, with the club focusing on signing a new striker to strengthen their attacking department.

Recent reports indicate that the Msimbazi Reds are closely monitoring Chadian forward Junior Dion, who currently plays for Golden Arrows in South Africa.

The 27-year-old striker has attracted attention after an impressive season, scoring 14 goals and providing assists across various competitions.

His ability to score goals and contribute to attacking play is seen as a solution for Simba, who have struggled to get enough goals from their central strikers.

Simba searching for Sowah replacement

Simba’s move into the transfer market comes amid uncertainty surrounding their striker Jonathan Sowah.

The player was previously suspended by the club over disciplinary issues, and after a hearing, he was required to pay a fine and temporarily play with the U20 team to regain fitness.

However, reports suggest Sowah has not fully complied with those directives and has instead claimed to have mutually terminated his contract—further increasing uncertainty within the club.

Simba’s new strategy

As a result, Simba have stepped up efforts to find a reliable replacement in attack, with Junior Dion listed among their priority targets.

If the deal goes through, Dion could become an important part of Simba’s squad as they aim to perform well in both domestic and international competitions next season.
