Simba SC moved back into second place after securing a 1-0 victory over JKT Tanzania in a match played at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam.
It was a tough contest, with Simba dominating possession for long periods while JKT Tanzania adopted a defensive approach, relying on counterattacks.
Despite creating numerous chances, especially in the first half, the Msimbazi Reds had to wait until the second half to find the breakthrough through Clatous Chama.
Elie Mpanzu registered another assist, setting up Chama just as he did in the previous match against Yanga.
JKT Tanzania pushed forward in the closing stages of the second half, but Simba tightened their defense to ensure they walked away with all three points.
The win takes Simba to 46 points, moving them back into second place ahead of Azam FC, who drop to third.
