Simba Complete Deal for Nathaniel Chilambo, Eyeing More Azam FC Signings

Reports indicate that Simba SC have already completed the signing of right-back Nathaniel Chilambo, who is set to become a free agent from Azam FC next month.

Chilambo is said to have already signed a pre-contract agreement with Simba, committing to a three-year deal that will take effect once his current contract with Azam FC expires.

However, Simba are not done yet, as they are also reportedly targeting another Azam FC player — winger Abdul Suleiman Sopu.

Like Chilambo, Sopu is also nearing the end of his contract, which expires next month.

These potential signings are seen as part of Simba’s strategy to strengthen their squad depth ahead of next season, as they aim to compete for every available trophy.

Sopu, who came through Simba’s youth setup and later played for Simba B before moving to Coastal Union and then Azam FC, has struggled for game time this season due to injuries. However, he is now fit and fighting for his place in the Azam FC squad.

Simba are reportedly keen to finalize their transfer plans early so that they are ready to make immediate signings once the transfer window opens.

Other players also said to have already agreed deals with the Msimbazi-based club include midfielder Kelvin Nashon from Pamba Jiji and winger Ramadhan Chobwedo from TRA United.
