Mpanzu Pushes for Starting Spot as Simba FC Forward Line Competition Intensifies

Simba SC attacking midfielder Elie Mpanzu has continued to impress in recent matches, scoring important goals and providing assists, while reiterating his ambition to regain a place in the starting lineup.

The DR Congo international has found himself out of the regular starting eleven following the arrival of new forwards :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} and :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}, who joined the Msimbazi-based club during the mid-season transfer window.

However, despite not having a regular starting role, Mpanzu has made good use of the minutes given to him by coach :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}, consistently being among the standout performers whenever he is called upon.

On their part, Oura and Gueye have also shown strong competition for attacking positions after both finding the net in recent matches. Gueye has scored two goals in his last two games, while Oura has also netted twice in his last three appearances.

Oura was also named man of the match in the 3-1 victory over Namungo FC, a game in which he scored a crucial goal that helped secure a positive result for his team.

This strong competition in Simba SC’s attacking department is seen as a key factor in improving the overall quality of the squad, as players are forced to raise their performance levels to earn a place in the starting eleven.

Coach Barker now faces a difficult selection task due to the impressive form shown by all his forwards, a situation that increases internal competition while benefiting Simba SC in various competitions.
