Manchester City Keep Premier League Title Pressure on Arsenal

Manchester City continued to apply serious pressure in the Premier League title race after securing an important victory over Brentford F.C. at Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side showed great determination, especially in the second half, earning a victory that leaves them just two points behind league leaders Arsenal F.C. in the standings.

After a goalless first half in which Brentford put up strong resistance, City returned with greater intensity after the break. The standout player was Jérémy Doku, who opened the scoring in the 60th minute with a powerful strike that beat the Brentford goalkeeper.

Star striker Erling Haaland continued his impressive form by adding the second goal in the 75th minute, extending his excellent scoring record this season, before Omar Marmoush sealed the win with a third goal in the closing stages. The goal further strengthened City’s push to defend their league title.

The victory has revived Manchester City’s title hopes while increasing the pressure on Arsenal, who now need to win their remaining matches to avoid losing grip on the championship.

For Brentford, the defeat has damaged their hopes of qualifying for European competitions next season after failing to capitalize on the chances they created against City’s solid defense throughout the match.
