Two late goals secured a 2-0 victory for Azam FC against Pamba Jiji in a Tanzania Mainland Premier League match played at Azam Complex.
Goals from Feisal Salum “Fei Toto,” who scored with a header in the 90th minute, and Japhet Kitambala in the 93rd minute completely ended Pamba Jiji’s hopes of leaving Azam Complex with at least one point.
It was a match largely dominated by Azam FC, but the disciplined defending of Pamba Jiji kept them safe for most of the game before they eventually lost concentration in stoppage time.
The victory takes Azam FC to 46 points and mathematically keeps them in the title race, as they now trail league leaders Young Africans SC (Yanga) by eight points.
