Juma Mgunda Admits Namungo FC Struggles After 10-Game Winless Run

Namungo FC head coach Juma Mgunda has openly admitted that his team is going through a difficult spell in the NBC Premier League after failing to register a win in their last 10 matches.

Speaking about the poor run of form, Mgunda said the main challenge has been a lack of goals from his strikers, while stressing that the defensive unit must also improve, especially when the team fails to convert chances.

Statistics show that Namungo FC have lost five matches and drawn five in this 10-game winless streak, a situation that has significantly affected their push for higher positions on the league table.

During this period, the team has scored only eight goals while conceding 15, highlighting problems in both attack and defense.

Currently, Namungo FC sit in ninth place in the NBC Premier League standings with 23 points after playing 20 matches, having won only five games since the start of the season.

This places them in mid-table, but still at risk of dropping further if their poor form continues.

Mgunda remains confident that his team can recover, saying the mistakes can still be corrected in the remaining matches of the season.

He emphasized that discipline, finishing quality, and defensive stability will be key factors in improving results in the final stage of the league.

Namungo FC face a tough challenge today against Azam FC in a match scheduled to be played at Azam Complex in Chamazi.
