Renowned football coach José Mourinho is reportedly close to reaching an agreement to return to Real Madrid, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reports that Mourinho and Real Madrid’s management have already agreed on all terms of a new contract, with only the official signing of documents remaining, expected later this month.
The deal is said to be an initial two-year contract, with both parties having accepted the conditions, signalling a strong mutual desire to reunite.
It is also reported that Mourinho is expected to travel to Madrid after Real Madrid’s match against Athletic Bilbao to begin preparations for his new role.
Mourinho is no stranger to the club, having previously managed Real Madrid and left a significant mark in the club’s history, particularly in domestic and European competitions.
His return is being seen as part of the club’s plan to strengthen the technical bench and increase competitiveness in both domestic and international football.
Real Madrid fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether the Portuguese coach can replicate the success that once made him one of the most respected managers in world football.
