Tanzanian women’s football star Clara Luvanga continues to make history in Saudi Arabia after setting a remarkable record in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, showcasing exceptional form.
The Al-Nassr Women striker finished the 2025/26 season as the league’s top scorer with 24 goals—a tally that not only earned her the Golden Boot but also saw her break her own record from previous seasons.
This achievement highlights Luvanga’s consistent rise in performance, having scored 11 goals, then 21, and now 24 over the past three consecutive seasons—clear evidence of her rapid development.
Her record-breaking journey and excellence
Since joining Al-Nassr in 2023, Luvanga has become a key figure in the team’s attack, playing a major role in their dominance of women’s football in Saudi Arabia and helping them secure multiple league titles.
This season alone, in addition to her 24 goals, Luvanga has remained a constant threat to defenders, scoring several hat-tricks and leading her team to yet another league title in a competition that is still relatively new but growing rapidly.
From Tanzania to international stardom
At a young age, Luvanga has already established herself on the global football stage. She began her career with local teams in Tanzania before joining Yanga Princess, where she gained wider recognition, eventually earning opportunities to play in Europe and later moving to Saudi Arabia, where she has become one of the most dangerous strikers in the league.
Her goal-scoring ability, speed, and composure in front of goal have made her an important player not only for her club but also for the Tanzania national team (Twiga Stars).
