Simba SC Set for Squad Reshuffle Ahead of 2026/27 Season With Focus on Key Foreign Signings

Simba SC is continuing to reorganize its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, adopting a strategy aimed at reducing the number of foreign players while improving quality in key areas of the pitch.

According to internal club sources, Simba SC has reached the final stages of preparing its squad for the upcoming season, with a large percentage of domestic players already secured through renewals or new agreements.

Unlike previous seasons when the club made major signings of foreign players, Simba SC is expected to be less active in the transfer market this time. It is estimated that only three new foreign players will be signed to replace those who will depart.

This approach is intended to create better balance within the squad and ensure that every foreign signing makes a direct impact in key positions.

Reports indicate that the technical bench led by coach Barker has submitted its technical recommendations to management, identifying three foreign players who may not continue with the team next season.

Among the names mentioned in the list are:

  • Jonathan Sowah

  • Naby Camara

  • Alassane Kanté

The club’s management, working together with the technical staff, has outlined three priority areas for new foreign signings:

Simba is targeting:

  • A central striker with strong goal-scoring ability

  • An attacking midfielder to add creativity in the final third of the pitch

  • A defensive midfielder capable of strengthening the defense and breaking up opposition attacks

The main objective is to ensure the team has a strong balance between defense and attack, while also improving overall efficiency in both domestic and international competitions.
