Mourinho Approves Moves for Konate and Dumfries as Real Madrid Plan Defensive Overhaul

New reports from European football sources suggest that incoming Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has approved the signings of Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté and Inter Milan full-back Denzel Dumfries to join the Spanish giants once the club’s internal election process is completed.

It is also reported that preliminary talks have already taken place with the respective parties, and verbal agreements are said to have been reached on certain aspects of the transfers.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the players are expected to join Real Madrid after the club’s leadership elections are finalized.

Mourinho is said to have begun reshaping the defensive line. Ibrahima Konaté is valued for his strength, leadership, and defensive awareness as a centre-back, while Denzel Dumfries is known for his pace and strong attacking contribution from the flanks.

During his time at Liverpool FC, Konaté established himself as a key defensive figure, while Dumfries has been an important player for Inter Milan, especially in both defensive duties and forward runs.

These reports suggest that Mourinho is prioritizing defensive reinforcement as part of his early planning for the squad rebuild at Real Madrid.
