Barcelona and Atlético Madrid Clash Over Julián Álvarez Transfer Rumours

The transfer battle between La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid has intensified after both clubs became involved in a heated dispute over Argentine international striker Julián Álvarez.

Reports indicate that Barcelona have shown serious interest in signing the 26-year-old forward, viewing him as a long-term solution to strengthen their attacking line. The Catalan club is said to have submitted an initial offer of around €100 million, while also preparing to increase their bid in an attempt to convince Atlético Madrid to sell the player.

However, Atlético Madrid have taken a firm and clear stance: Álvarez is not for sale.

Club officials in Madrid are reported to have stressed that no official offer has been received from Barcelona, and even if one arrives, they have no intention of considering it at this stage. Atlético believe the striker is a key part of their long-term project and is under contract until 2030.

In addition to their firm position, Atlético are said to be frustrated by ongoing rumours surrounding their player, claiming that much of the speculation is “false and baseless” and aimed at unsettling both the player and the club.

Barcelona, meanwhile, remain undeterred. Their sporting directors reportedly believe Álvarez could be the ideal successor to their current forwards and a crucial piece in restoring the team’s attacking strength in the coming seasons.

There are also suggestions that the player himself may be open to a move to Camp Nou, adding further intrigue to the ongoing transfer saga.

The situation leaves Julián Álvarez’s future uncertain, with Barcelona preparing a stronger push while Atlético Madrid continue to insist he is not available for transfer.
