Tanzania national team head coach Miguel Gamondi has promoted two promising players from the under-17 national team, popularly known as Serengeti Boys, to the senior Tanzania national football team.
The players promoted are:
- Luqman Mbalasu – Midfielder
- Kassimu Juma – Left-back
The two young talents are expected to join the senior national team after the conclusion of the U17 AFCON final between Serengeti Boys and Senegal, scheduled for June 2, 2026.
Gamondi’s decision is part of a long-term plan aimed at rebuilding Taifa Stars by integrating young talents with experienced players to strengthen the squad for future competitions.
Taifa Stars are currently preparing for two important international friendly matches against Uganda on June 5 and Rwanda on June 9, both set to be played in Marrakech, Morocco.
