Paris Saint-Germain have once again confirmed their dominance in French football after officially securing the 2025/26 Ligue 1 title following a 2-0 victory over Lens on Wednesday night, May 13, 2026.
In a crucial match played at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave PSG the lead in the 29th minute before youngster Ibrahim Mbaye added a second goal in stoppage time to seal an important win.
The victory took PSG to 76 points at the top of the table, securing the championship with one game still remaining. Lens remain in second place with 67 points, a gap that can no longer be closed.
This marks PSG’s 14th Ligue 1 title in their history, extending their record as the most successful club in French football. It is also their fifth consecutive league title.
Coach Luis Enrique has continued to receive praise for building a highly competitive PSG side despite the departure of several superstar players in recent years. Players such as Ousmane Dembélé, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Kvaratskhelia have played a key role in the club’s successful campaign.
PSG now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal as they aim to cap off the season with even greater success on the European stage.
