Defending Premier League champions Manchester City continued to pile pressure on league leaders Arsenal after securing a 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, May 13, 2026.
In the match played at the Etihad Stadium, City showed their quality from the opening stages as Antoine Semenyo, Omar Marmoush, and Savinho scored the goals that handed Pep Guardiola’s side a crucial win in the Premier League title race.
Following the victory, Guardiola’s team moved to 77 points in second place, just behind Arsenal who lead the table with 79 points, with both teams having only two matches remaining this season.
Midfielder Phil Foden was the standout performer after providing two assists in the first half and helping City produce attractive football despite Guardiola resting some key stars, including Erling Haaland, ahead of the FA Cup final this weekend.
Guardiola said his team is still alive in the title race and will continue fighting until the end of the season. The City manager remains hopeful that Arsenal could drop points in their remaining matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace.
City now need to win their final two matches against Bournemouth and Aston Villa while hoping Arsenal make mistakes if they are to retain the Premier League title once again.
