Azam FC suffered their first league defeat of the season after falling 4-1 to TRA United in a match played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
It was a difficult 90 minutes for Azam FC against the side coached by Etienne Ndayiragije, with the victory moving TRA United up to fourth place in the league standings.
Azam FC took the lead early in the 7th minute through Jephte Kitambala, but TRA United responded in the 19th minute with an equalizer from Ally Ng’anzi.
Ammy Mapaka then scored two quick goals before halftime, while Ramadhan Chobwedo sealed the victory in the 64th minute with a well-taken free kick.
Coach Florent Ibenge appeared stunned by the result after the final whistle, as it marked the very first time Azam FC have lost a league match this season.
