TRA United continued their strong run in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Tanzania Prisons in a match played at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.
TRA United dominated the game from start to finish, making the most of their away advantage to secure all three valuable points.
The goals for TRA United were scored by Ramadhan Chobwedo, Joseph Akandwanaho, and Khamis Mugoya.
The win lifts TRA United to fifth place in the league standings with 30 points, putting them in a strong position to finish higher on the table.
On the other hand, the home defeat leaves Tanzania Prisons in a difficult situation, as they now sit in 15th place with just 14 points. This puts them at serious risk of relegation if they fail to improve in upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, in another match played at Airtel Stadium in Singida, Dodoma Jiji FC were held to a goalless draw by Namungo FC.
The result keeps Dodoma Jiji in eighth place and Namungo in ninth, with both teams remaining comfortably in mid-table without immediate pressure of relegation or title contention.
