Simba SC’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ally, has delivered positive news to fans regarding the team’s injury situation ahead of the highly anticipated Tanzania Premier League clash against Young Africans SC, popularly known as the Kariakoo Derby.
The match is set to be played on Sunday, May 3, at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium, and is expected to be one of the most closely followed fixtures in Tanzanian football.
All players fit for the derby
Ahmed Ally confirmed that key players Anicet Oura, Nickson Kibabage, and Yusuph Kagoma have all recovered from injuries sustained in the recent Muungano Cup final and are now ready to return to training with the squad.
The trio had been forced off during that match due to injury concerns, raising fears among Simba supporters about their availability for the crucial derby.

Speaking about the squad’s condition, Ahmed Ally said:
“I would like to inform you that all the players (Oura, Kibabage, and Kagoma) who were substituted in the Muungano Cup final due to injury are now ready for Sunday’s match. As I speak, the players are in excellent condition. We only pray that God continues to protect their fitness.”
