Summary of Tanzania Premier League (TPLB) Disciplinary Decisions – April 18, 2026

The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), through its League Operations and Management Committee, in its meeting held on April 18, 2026, reviewed various league incidents and reached the following decisions:

NBC Premier League Decisions

1. Match No. 07: TRA United FC 0-0 Simba SC

  • Penalty: Both TRA United and Simba SC have each been fined TSh 5,000,000 (five million).

  • Offense: Club stewards engaged in a fight shortly after the teams arrived at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.

  • Regulation: Article 47:1 of the Premier League regulations on club control.

2. Match No. 132: Pamba Jiji FC 0-3 Young Africans SC

  • Penalty: Player Mudathir Yahya (Young Africans) has been suspended for three (3) matches and fined TSh 1,000,000 (one million).

  • Offense: Elbowing a Pamba Jiji player, Ibrahim Abraham, during the match at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.

  • Regulation: Article 41:5(5.2) of the Premier League regulations on player conduct.

3. Match No. 146: Coastal Union FC 1-1 Mtibwa Sugar FC

  • Penalty: Coastal Union has been fined TSh 5,000,000 (five million).

  • Offense: Fans threw water bottles onto the pitch while referees were calming Victor Collins (Mtibwa Sugar) and Athuman Makambo (Coastal Union) after Collins pushed Makambo.

  • Regulation: Article 47:1 of the Premier League regulations on club control.

4. Match No. 151: TRA United 2-0 Singida BS

  • Penalty: Singida BS has been fined TSh 5,000,000 (five million).

  • Offense: Two club officials entered the pitch and poured substances, interpreted as superstitious practices, before the team’s warm-up.

  • Regulation: Article 47:1 of the Premier League regulations on club control.

5. Match No. 152: Azam FC 0-0 Simba SC

  • Penalty for Azam FC: Fined TSh 5,000,000 (five million).

    • Offense: Technical bench officials and players used an unauthorized entrance to access the pitch, contrary to regulations and pre-match meeting agreements.

    • Regulation: Articles 17:21 and 17:62 on match procedures.

  • Penalty for Simba SC: Fined TSh 10,000,000 (ten million).

    • Offense: Fans threw water bottles at the assistant referee (No. 2) after he signaled an offside against a Simba player.

    • Additional Note: This is a repeated offense by Simba this season (2025/2026), with similar incidents occurring in two previous matches.

    • Regulation: Article 47:1 of the Premier League regulations on club control.
