Zamalek Reach CAF Confederation Cup Final After Holding CR Belouizdad

Egyptian club Zamalek SC have booked their place in the CAF Confederation Cup final after a goalless draw against CR Belouizdad in the second leg of their semifinal clash.

The match, played on Friday in Cairo, brought together two North African giants, with Zamalek making full use of their 1–0 away victory in Algeria, securing a 1–0 aggregate win.

In the return leg, both teams played cautiously, aiming to avoid costly mistakes. CR Belouizdad needed a win to progress, but they were unable to break down Zamalek’s solid and disciplined defense throughout the 90 minutes.

The result sends Zamalek into the final of the competition, where they will face the winner of the other semifinal between OC Safi and USM Alger. The achievement continues the club’s strong record in African interclub competitions.

For CR Belouizdad, their hopes of reaching the final end at the semifinal stage, despite putting up a strong fight across both legs.
