Young Africans SC continued their dominance in the NBC Premier League after securing a resounding 6-0 victory over Mbeya City FC at KMC Complex.
In the match, Yanga displayed high-quality performance from start to finish, effectively sealing the contest early by scoring five goals in the first half.
Striker Prince Dube returned to the squad and scored twice, opening the scoring and adding the sixth goal in a successful comeback after missing several matches due to injury.
The other goals were scored by Pacome Zouzoua, who netted twice, while Maxi Nzengeli and Mohamed Hussein each added one goal.
Yanga’s defense, led by captain Bakari Mwamnyeto, remained solid throughout the match, denying Mbeya City any clear chances, while goalkeeper Hussein Masalanga had a relatively comfortable game.
With the win, Yanga have now reached 47 points at the top of the table, extending their lead to eight points over their closest challengers.
In another earlier match, Mashujaa FC held Singida Black Stars to a 1-1 draw in a game attended by Tanzania’s Prime Minister, Mwigulu Nchemba.
These results further strengthen Yanga’s position at the top as the league race intensifies toward the final stages of the season.
