Simba SC of Dar es Salaam is reportedly in the final stages of completing the signing of attacking midfielder from TRA United, Ramadhan Salum Ramadhan, popularly known as “Chobwedo”, ahead of the upcoming Tanzania Mainland Premier League season.
According to information from within the club’s management, Simba has managed to beat competition from several clubs that were also interested in the player due to his impressive performances this season.
Chobwedo particularly impressed in the previous league match between TRA United and Simba, played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, which ended in a goalless draw. In that match, the attacking midfielder displayed pace, creativity, and the ability to trouble Simba’s defenders, increasing interest from the club’s officials.
Reports indicate that Simba SC has already prepared a two-year contract for the player, with the initial step being the signing of a pre-contract before finalizing the official transfer.
The Simba SC management is said to have changed its recruitment strategy for the upcoming season, aiming to complete player signings early before the season ends in order to strengthen squad preparations.
Simba SC has also completed the signing of midfielder Kelvin Nashon, who is currently on loan at Pamba Jiji from Singida Black Stars, as part of efforts to reinforce the midfield ahead of the new season.
