Simba Reach CRDB Cup Quarter-Finals After Strong Comeback Win

Simba SC have advanced to the quarter-finals of the CRDB Federation Cup after securing a 3-1 victory over Dodoma Jiji FC in their Round of 16 clash at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium.

Dodoma Jiji took an early lead in the 9th minute through Khleffin Hamdoun, giving them hope of a positive result. However, Simba showed resilience and quickly fought their way back into the match.

Forward Suleiman Mwalimu equalized for Simba in the 54th minute before Anicet Oura added a second in the 60th minute. Mwalimu then sealed the win by scoring his second goal and Simba’s third in the 67th minute.

The second half saw Simba dominate the game under head coach Steve Barker, making full use of the 45 minutes to secure an important victory.

The win sends Simba into the next round of the competition, a crucial result after the team’s poor run in their previous two matches.

In other matches from the same stage, Singida Black Stars defeated Mbeya City FC 5-1, while TRA United beat Namungo FC 2-0 to also book their places in the quarter-finals.
