AS FAR Take Command in CAF Champions League Semi-Finals as Sundowns Face Esperance

The CAF Champions League has reached the semi-final stage in dramatic fashion, with AS FAR of Morocco securing an important 2-0 victory over RS Berkane in the first leg played on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

In the match held in Rabat, AS FAR showed their quality by scoring two second-half goals through Ahmed Hammoudan in the 58th minute and Khalid Ait Ouarkhane in the 80th minute.

The win gives AS FAR a strong advantage heading into the second leg, while Berkane will need a big performance to overturn the two-goal deficit if they hope to reach the final.

The game was highly competitive, especially in the first half which ended goalless, but AS FAR made the most of their chances in the second half to decide the outcome.

With this result, AS FAR have one foot in the final and will look to protect their lead in the return leg scheduled for April 18, 2026.
