The Angola Football Federation (FAF) has concluded talks with Senegalese coach Aliou Cissé, appointing him as the new head coach of their national team, the Palancas Negras.
Cissé, who led the Senegal national team to major successes including reaching the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has already agreed to take charge of Angola.
Reports from sources close to the Angola Football Federation indicate that the coach is expected to take over the team in preparation for upcoming international competitions.
Cissé arrives with extensive experience managing national teams, including his recent stint with Libya, which he left due to financial and contractual challenges.
Palancas Negras fans and football stakeholders in Angola are anticipating a swift implementation of Cissé’s appointment, believing that the internationally experienced coach will help enhance the competitiveness of the Angola national team.
