The Singida Black Stars club is showing signs of significant changes after recently announcing the departure of its technical bench and beginning efforts to hire a new head coach.
Currently, the management of Singida Black Stars is focused on appointing a new coach with international experience and the ability to lead a major team. Among the names mentioned by football sources is Papy Kimoto Okitankoyi, a coach from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) who recently left his position as head of AS Maniema Union.
Official discussions between Singida Black Stars and Kimoto have begun, and his appointment seems close to completion. Management notes that he is suitable due to his experience leading various teams across Africa and his potential to bring technical improvements. This would be his first time coaching a team in Tanzanian football if he accepts the offer from Singida BS.
Other coaching candidates had also emerged, including Guy Bukasa, but talks with Bukasa faced challenges compared to what was proposed with Kimoto. This has prompted Singida BS to intensify negotiations with the DR Congo coach to finalize a contract as quickly as possible.
