Striker Jonathan Sowah has reportedly submitted a letter to Simba’s management requesting the termination of his contract.
Simba had previously suspended Sowah over allegations of indiscipline, giving him a chance to defend himself, with the club expected to make a final decision.
However, it is understood that the Ghanaian forward, who has scored three goals this season, disputes the allegations and has requested a mutual termination of his contract.
Renowned Ghanaian journalist Micky Junior has confirmed that the player has officially submitted his request to end his contract.
It appears Simba’s management had already decided not to reintegrate Sowah into the squad due to the disciplinary issues and were possibly waiting until the end of the season to part ways.
Sowah joined Simba with high expectations from fans, but it seems his time at the club may be cut short due to off-field issues.
