Defending champions Yanga continued to show their dominance after securing a 3-0 victory over Pamba Jiji in a match played at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
In the match, Yanga largely controlled possession and created numerous scoring chances. Midfielder Mudathir Yahya was the star of the game, scoring twice in the 8th and 33rd minutes, before Maxi Nzengeli added a third goal in the 67th minute to seal the emphatic win.
Attacking midfielder Allan Okello proved a constant threat to the Pamba Jiji defense, providing assists for all three of Yanga’s goals.
The victory sees Yanga strengthen their position at the top of the league standings, reaching 44 points and opening a nine-point lead.
For Pamba Jiji, they struggled to cope with the pace and quality of their opponents, despite playing at home in front of their fans.
Meanwhile, in an earlier match, Singida Black Stars secured a narrow 1-0 victory over KMC FC.
The game was closely contested, with both teams playing cautiously. Singida BS managed to score the only goal of the match through Lamine Jarjou in the 70th minute, earning them three crucial points.
Both Singida BS and KMC went into the match under significant pressure, having recently parted ways with their coaches.
