Simba Regroup After Azam Draw as Busy Fixture Schedule Looms

Simba SC are planning new strategies to improve their results following their draw against Azam FC in an NBC Premier League match played at Azam Complex yesterday.

Speaking after the game, Simba’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, openly admitted that the result was not what the team had aimed for, but they have accepted it and are now focusing on upcoming matches.

Ahmed explained that the match was highly competitive and of high quality from both sides, but emphasized that Simba had a better chance of winning had they made better use of the opportunities they created.

In his assessment, Ahmed also touched on certain incidents during the match that he believed could have been interpreted differently according to the rules of the game, which might have influenced the outcome.

However, he acknowledged that overall the result can be considered fair for both teams, despite the disappointment on Simba’s side, who believed they deserved the victory.

Ahmed noted that the team will work on correcting the mistakes observed in order to strengthen the squad for the next stages of the league. He stressed that there is still a strong chance to perform well given the number of matches remaining.

Simba’s next match is against TRA United, scheduled for April 9 at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.

Simba are facing a tight run of fixtures after completing the postponed match that was originally scheduled for March 14 but was delayed due to heavy rain that flooded Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium.

On April 12, Simba will face Dodoma Jiji in the Round of 16 of the CRDB Cup, before wrapping up two league matches against Fountain Gate (April 15) and Namungo FC (April 18), and then heading to Zanzibar to participate in the Muungano Cup.
