As pressure continues to build ahead of the CRDB Cup Round of 16 clash between Simba and Dodoma Jiji set for this Sunday, Dodoma Jiji Head Coach Aman Josiah has made his intentions clear—he is determined to eliminate Simba SC from the competition.
Following a 3–0 victory over Fountain Gate in their previous Premier League match, Josiah said his squad is highly motivated heading into the encounter, which will be played at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Josiah stated that his team will take time to study Simba tactically and conduct a detailed analysis to ensure they are well-prepared.
He noted that despite Simba’s vast experience and strong history in the competition, his side is not intimidated and will organize themselves effectively.
“We respect Simba, but that does not mean we are incapable of winning. We are preparing well, and every player understands their responsibilities on the pitch,” said the coach.
The last time Dodoma Jiji faced Simba at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma in a league match, the game ended in a goalless draw.
The April 12 fixture is a knockout match, meaning a winner must be determined to advance to the quarterfinals of the CRDB Cup.
